Stuff the Bus – Helping Families at Christmas

The year has flown by very quickly and Christmas is just 7 weeks away. Christmas is often a time of celebration and gathering of families regardless of race and religion. It is a magical time for children especially as they wait up at night listening for Santa’s footsteps with a bag of goodies for them! (For some parents, this may be the time when the threat of the naughty and nice list is effective to gain best behavior and compliance in their children!) For adults it is a time to eat, drink and be merry with friends and family as they watch the children play. Sadly for many families who are doing it tough, Christmas time can be stressful as they are unable to afford presents and food on the table for a celebratory meal.

To ensure we do our part to bring the seasonal cheer to families who are doing it tough, My Favourite Physio is partnering with Stuff the Bus Annual Christmas Appeal. The aim of Stuff the Bus is to place dignity on parents by resourcing them with unwrapped gifts to hand to their children on Christmas Day, and Christmas food hampers to enable them to celebrate around a Christmas meal.

In 2015, Stuff the Bus was able to contribute over 13,000 individually wrapped toy packs and Christmas hampers to local families as well as to community organisations for their clients.

How you can help

  1. Pick up a red Stuff the Bus bag with a shopping wish list from our practice front desk.
  2. Purchase some items on the wish list when you are next at the grocery store or toyshop. Every item will help make a difference.
  3. Fill up the bag with your donations and return it to our practice front desk to place under our Christmas tree.

We will forward on your donations to Stuff the Bus volunteers who will make up Christmas Hampers for families and place unwrapped gifts to parents to hand to their children.

My Favourite Physio would like to thank you in advance for your generosity and your contribution.
