Have you been told that a child with Down Syndrome 👧has very limited prospects of functioning independently as an adult😳
Many expectant mothers 🤰have been informed of the risks of various medical and health conditions that a child with Down Syndrome could possibly have which implies that having a child with Down Syndrome mean having a child with severe cognitive impairments. However, this is not true, 🙅♂️and all we have to do is to take a look around at the successful people around us who happen to also have Down Syndrome.

Here at My Favourite Physio, we believe that the key 🔑issue limiting children with Down Syndrome from achieving their best potential, is not that the presence of cognitive impairments of children with Down Syndrome but rather the presence of exisiting prejudices and assumptions about the cognitive abilities of children with Down Syndrome in others around them.
