Here at My Favourite Physio, our Expert Physiotherapists often work with patients who ACL injuries and help them to return to their sports and prevent recurrent ACL injuries. Here’s a sample Checklist of some of our favourite tasks to achieve with an ACL rehab program:
Able to make a straight leg
No swelling in the knee
Able to perform a single leg hop
Strong quadriceps strength
Strong hamstring and calf strength
Performed running, jumping and agility drills prior to return to sport
Performed sports specific drills prior to return to sport
Please keep in mind that this is only a summarized checklist. Good ACL rehabilitation is crucial to get you returning to peak performance and reducing the risk of any further injury. It is highly recommended that you get a full knee assessment by an Expert Physiotherapist before returning to work and sports after an ACL injury.
