Did you know that the shoulder is the most complex joint and has the greatest range in movement of all the joints in the human body
Did you know that in the shoulder, you only have muscles and ligaments that connects your whole arm to your trunk
Without you even holding anything in your hands, your shoulder muscles are working all the time to just hold the weight of your arm by your side
Given the great range movement in the shoulder joint and only muscles and ligaments controlling the shoulder movement, it’s no surprise why so many people frequently strain or injure their shoulders.
There are many reasons why you could be experiencing pain in your shoulders. Not all Shoulder Pains are the same. For some people it’s a sharp pain that happens when they reach forward quickly to grab something, for others it is a deep dull ache that never seems to go away, and for yet others it’s a gradually worsening pain that stops them from being able to lift their arms over shoulder height. The key to overcoming shoulder pain is to have a correct diagnosis of the cause of the shoulder pain. Here at My Favourite Physio, our Expert Physiotherapists see many cases of Shoulder Pain and we get great outcomes for our clients.
One of the biggest mistake people make with Shoulder Pain is to ignore it and hopes it gets better!!Unfortunately Shoulder Pains tend not to just disappear by itself. More commonly, when Shoulder Pain is ignored, it actually gets worse where muscle tears, ligament tears, inflammation of the shoulder tendons and bursa can happen! Which may ultimately lead to a loss of movement of the shoulder joint in a condition called Frozen Shoulder!
So don’t let Frozen Shoulder happen to you! If you are struggling with Shoulder Pain, reach out today and speak to one of our Expert Physiotherapists on (02) 9790 4233 or DM us @myfavouritephysio to find out how we can help you overcome your Shoulder Pain today!
