Experiencing daily migraines that is limiting your ability to focus at work
Are you irritable and impatient with your loved ones because you have a constant headache and migraines
Tried different medications and therapies to reduce your migraines and headaches without any effect
Research has shown that 4.9 million Australians experience migraine and nearly all those with migraine and 60% of those with tension-type headache experience reductions in social activities and work capacity.
Recently at My Favourite Physio, we met a gentleman in his 40s who reported a 15 year history of headaches and migraines. He does not take any medications as they have little effect on his migraine pain and headaches, instead he finds that he needs to stop working at his computer every two hours to have a lie down in a dark room with a cold towel on his forehead. He finds that he is unable to tolerate loud noises including the sounds of his family members talking or laughing loudly.
So we carried out our 3 Step Headache And Migraine Solution Initial Consult and was able to identify that the cause of his headaches and migraines were joint stiffness and dysfunction in his first 3 neck joints. Using gentle sustained pressures on the first 3 neck joints, we were able to reproduce and reduce his migraine symptoms, giving him immediate relief of his head pain in the first session. Using our 6 Week Headache And Migraine Solution Program, we also worked on releasing all the muscle tightness and reducing the soft tissue inflammation in his neck, upper back and shoulders to effectively reduce his pain and increase his active range of movement in his neck and shoulders. At the end of 2 weeks, he was excited to inform us that he did not have a single episode of migraine or headache! He was amazed at how much happier he felt, how productive he was at work and how much he actually enjoys spending time with his family now.
