31 Mar 😬Experiencing recurrent low back pain despite trying all sorts of therapies for it 👴🏻Starting to feel like you’ve aged before your time because of your recurrent low back pain
Did you know that a stiff Upper Back can actually cause you to have recurrent Low Back Pain😮
Here at My Favourite Physio, our Expert Physiotherapists 🤓see many people with Low Back Pain and we are able to help them overcome their recurrent Low Back Pain to get back to active pain free living. The key is to determine the correct cause of the Low Back Pain.
Recently, we met a young man in his mid twenties and he has been experiencing recurrent low back pain for a few years now. He works full time as a teacher and enjoys working out at the gym 3 times a week.🏋️♂️ He has tried acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractor, physiotherapy and just could not get any long term relief for his recurrent Low Back Pain. A friend recommended that he come to see one of our Expert Physiotherapists at My Favourite Physio.
On his first consult, we found that he actually has a very flexible lower back but a very stiff upper back. He was very hunched in his upper back from his shoulders to his mid back. So when he bend or turned his back, all the movement was happening in his lower back, where he was now experiencing Low Back Pain. Using Radial Shockwave Therapy, joint mobilisation, soft tissue massage and K-Taping we treated his muscle tightness, joint stiffness, swelling and inflammation in his muscles from his shoulders to his lower back. Within the first 2 weeks of treatment, he stopped feeling any Low Back Pain.😊 After completing a 6 week treatment program, which included core strengthening exercises, mobility and stretching exercises as well as posture correction and work station ergonomics. He was not only pain free, he felt stronger and was able to go to the gym without further episodes of Low Back Pain!🤗
