😬Does your toddler seems to walk clumsily despite all the expensive branded shoes👟 you have been buying for them?

Getting good shoes are essential when toddlers begin to walk because they provide stability to the foot bones and ankle joints to allow little ones to balance and take steps.🤔 However, what makes a good shoe? Does branded and popular brand shoes make good shoes?

The problem with most branded shoes is they were designed for adults and for specific sporting activities like running, basketball, jumping or soccer.⚽️ The needs of an adult foot and the pressures exerted through the adult foot is not the same biomechanically as the young toddler’s foot. So having miniature versions of adults shoes made for toddlers are actually more harmful for the young foot than good. 😬

3 Major problems with most branded miniature adult versions of shoes for children are:
👟1. The construct of most branded children’s shoes are actually too heavy for young toddler to wear and lift to take steps in. As a result, the toddler walks with clumsily pattern either dragging their foot with each step or lifting their foot to stomp with each step.

👟2. The thick sole of the branded children’s shoes are too stiff and young toddlers do not have the strength in their foot muscles and legs to be able to bend the shoe sole to walk with toe off to push off at the end of each step they take. This results in a toddler tending to trip on their own shoe when trying to push off to take the next step.

👟3. The grip on the sole of branded children’s shoes are often too much resistance for a toddler to overcome when trying to change direction when trying to run. This results in the shoe “sticking” to the ground while the toddler’s body is turned to an opposite direction, leading to the child twisting over and breaking their leg as they fall.
