19 Dec It’s nearly Christmas!🎄 Still trying to figure out what gifts to get your little one 👶🏻or perhaps you are a grandparent and wanting to get your little grandchild a great gift 🎁for this Christmas that would last for longer than 10 minutes before it breaks…🤦♀️
Here’s a list of Great Christmas Gift ideas that are staple favourites that our Expert Paediatric Physiotherapists here at My Favourite Physio frequently recommend for little ones..

Stackable ring toys that light up and sing,🎼
Fishbowl type toys where baby can put a ball in and out of the bowl,

7-8 months old: 👶🏻
Motorised toy trains or animals that will move to encourage baby to crawl,
Simple balls that will just roll away to encourage baby to crawl,
Play tables so baby will crawl on their hands and knees to reach up to the table top.
9-10 months old:👶🏻
Small Kitchen/fridge toys that when placed on a sofa encourages baby to pull to stand to play,
Books 📚that have touch and feel pages that can be placed on tables to encourage baby to stand to look and touch.

Push along walkers that encourage baby to push and walk,
Ride on cars 🚗to sit on and push along with their feet.
Lastly, we could not finish this list without mentioning the two toys to AVOID BUYING for Little ones at all times – Baby Walker/ Play Station where the wheels on a Baby Walker is replaced with suction cups and Jolly Jumpers. These toys do not help Baby to learn to walk and in fact delays Baby’s gross motor skills development.
