01 Mar Have you noticed that your baby’s 👶🏻 legs look bowed when they are walking 👣. Many parents express concerns that their babies 👶🏻 have bow legs, especially when baby started walking early or if baby is taller and bigger for their age. Sometimes parents think that baby’s legs are bowed because they walked 🚶♀️early or because of their weight and height or even because of their nappy🧐
However, the truth is baby’s thigh bone and shin bones are actually developing at the age between 12 months to 24 months where the thigh bone and shin bone are going to be bowed in relation to each other. So it’s actually normal for baby’s legs to looked bowed between the time they start walking until the age of 2 years old. From 2 years to 2.5 years old, the thigh bone and shin bone would have rotated on each other to move from bow legged into being straight legged.
After 2.5 years old, your toddler’s legs should not be bowed.
