Been told to do Tummy Time with your newborn👶🏻But no one told you why it’s important to do Tummy Time with your little one 🤷‍♀️

Did you know that when babies 👶🏻 are born they have C- shaped spines which makes them looked curled like a ball, this is so they can nestle comfortably in Mummy’s tummy? However, once outside of the womb, babies 👶🏻 then develop their neck spine next to allow them to look up and hold their heads up against gravity.

Tummy time is important because it helps baby to strengthen their neck muscles and develop their spines.Tummy time can begin from day 1, and slowly increased from 5-10 mins to 1 hour at a time. ⏱ We recommend that babies spend one hour of Tummy Time twice a day to build their neck strength and develop their gross motor skills. 💪
