Recently our Expert Peadiatric Physiotherapists met Ms R, 
who is 2 years old. She has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, has low muscle tone, hearing 
and speech impairments. Despite having therapy for the past 18months, she was still unable to roll or sit independently,
she could not even hold her head up when lying on her tummy. And her parents were not told what to expect for her future abilities, so there was a sense of “let’s take each day as it comes.” 
During our first consult, we assessed her gross motor skills, determined her strengths 
and weaknesses to design a Treatment Program for Ms R to help her to increase her head control, core strength to learn to start to roll, sit and crawl. 
We are excited to share that Ms R is now able roll independently, sit independently and is now learning to move out of sitting to crawl. All this in 2 months of intensive Paediatric Physiotherapy. 
She is also blabbing more and has learnt to reach and grab toys to play too! Her parents are thrilled to see her move, talk and play better! They now have a clear goal to work towards each week and each month. We can’t wait to see her take her first steps to walk!
