If you answered yes, then you might have chronic ankle swelling that has formed scar tissue which is sitting in your ankle joint 🦵causing you a niggling ankle pain 😬months after an ankle sprain.

Here are 3 ways to help reduce ankle swelling:
1. Ice 🧊
Using an ice pack wrapped in a tea towel, place the ice pack over your ankle joint for 10 to 15 minutes, 3 times a day. Ice causes constriction of the blood vessels which reduces the amount of swelling in the ankle joint.

2. Low Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound
Here at My Favourite Physio, our Expert Physiotherapists 🤓use a Low Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound machine to increase the blood flow in the ankle joint to promote soft tissue healing and reduce the swelling.

3. Kinesiology Taping
