Here are 3 common mistakes with Knee Pain Treatment:
😲1. Misdiagnosis of the cause of the knee pain. So therapy is focused only on the presenting symptom of pain in the area of pain, without understanding the root cause for the pain that is experienced.

😲2. Treating only the presenting symptoms which may be a referred pain. The Therapist is not assessing or treating the muscles, ligaments, joints above and below the knee. Often times, the cause of the knee pain is actually coming from favouring the opposite leg!

😲3. Not providing a holistic exercise program to prevent recurrence of the knee pain. There is often no Home Exercise Program to strengthen core muscles and leg muscles as well as stretching program to maintain muscle length. Over time this leads to recurrence knee pain happening.
