13 Jan Struggling to come to terms with mistakes you made last year
Feeling frustrated that things didn’t turn out the way you wanted
Or perhaps you are upset that you didn’t get the HSC scores you were hoping for to enter your first choice the university course
We all make mistakes, it’s a part of life – we’re only human after all. The mistakes aren’t what’s important,
it’s the lessons we learn from these mistakes that matter. It’s the start of a New Year, learn to let go of regrets and turn your mistakes into your best lessons!
Sometimes it’s not that you made a mistake, in fact, you did your very best but the situation didn’t turn out the way you wanted. Instead of feeling frustrated or angry that life isn’t fair and deciding that the universe is conspiring against you, learn to look at the situation with a new perspective. For every door that closes, a new one opens. Learn to have a positive mindset of learning and discovery as you explore the new options that you never considered.
If you are enrolling in University this year, don’t live in regret about the course you couldn’t enter because your HSC scores weren’t what you needed for your first choice degree. Don’t spend your year still focused on trying to enter the course you missed, instead learn to be present in the moment. Take on a positive attitude to learning in the course that you are enrolled in, so that your first year at University is enjoyable. It is a new stage of your life, instead of being stressed and still searching for ways to change courses, aim to give your best efforts to the course you are in. That way, you might actually surprise yourself and excel in your course and embrace the career path you are heading towards!
Life can be challenging, if you fall down, make sure that you get back
up. Have a positive attitude to ‘Live and Learn.”
