8th March 2022 is International Women’s Day!
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality.
The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is ‘Break The Bias’. A challenged world is an alert world. Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality.
Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
An equal world is an enabled world. Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day. We can actively choose to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world. Equality is not just a women’s issue, it’s also a business issue. Gender equality is essential for economies and communities to thrive. A gender equal world can be healthier, wealthier and more harmonious. The race is on for the gender equal boardroom, a gender equal government, gender equal media coverage, gender equal workplaces, gender equal sports coverage, more gender equality in health and wealth.
Here at My Favourite Physio, we believe in gender equality and our Team certainly reflects equality. In all our interactions, our Team knows and values the role of women, grandmothers, mothers, mother-figures and daughters. One of the ways, we actively choose to create an equal world, is by calling out behaviours that disrespect women, while role modelling to our peers, our children, our clients and our community respect and equality for all, especially towards women.Together we can #BreakTheBias.
