Just dropped your cup of coffee because of a sharp shooting pain in your elbow Perhaps your arm is feeling so weak you can’t grasp and pick up objects in your hand because of the pain in your elbow
If that sounds like you, then you probably have Tennis Elbow Pain. Pain on the outside of your elbow that can shoot down into your wrist. In late stages of Tennis Elbow Pain, weakness of the forearm and hand is not uncommon, and even picking up a cup of coffee to bring to your mouth is a struggle.
Often the advice is more stretches and exercise to strengthen the elbow but for many the pain is too much to even try exercising or if you persist with exercising, the pain is made worse. So eventually the doctor recommends having a corticosteroid injection in the elbow and for some people it may give temporary relief before it returns when they return to work or activities of daily living. So the cycle of pain and weakness continues for months and years.
However, that doesn’t have to be the case for you! Here at My Favourite Physio, we offer a 3 Step Tennis Elbow Pain Elimination Session where our Expert Physiotherapists will carry out a full assessment of your elbow pain, correctly diagnose and provide treatment for your elbow pain in the same session.
