Is your knee pain stopping you from living an active lifestyle
Have you been told that you need Corticosteroids injection for your knee pain
Here at My Favourite Physio, our Expert Physiotherapists see many people with Knee Pain who say that they have tried “everything” Including Corticosteroid injections for their knee pain and experienced limited relief in their knee pain. However, they were recommended by friends and families to see our Expert Physiotherapists for a second opinion about their knee pain because we have achieved great outcomes for their friends and family.
The key to successfully overcoming knee pain is to have the cause of your knee pain correctly diagnosed. Often knee pain is a result of the imbalance in the muscle activation around the knee, resulting in inflammation of some tendons and ligaments, while muscles in the thigh and calf are tight and overworked. Yet all that is seen on a knee scan is swelling and thickening of tendons and ligament. Muscle imbalance and tightness does not look different on a knee scan, unless there is a significant muscle tear. So it’s not uncommon for doctors to recommend Corticosteroid injections for Knee Pain Sufferers to help with reducing the swelling and inflammation seen on a knee scan. Unfortunately, Corticosteroid injections are not always effective for everyone. Some people report immediate relief for 10 years, while most people report temporary or no relief with Corticosteroid injections.
So if you have tried everything including Corticosteroid injections and still have knee pain, it is time to get a Second Opinion! Ring My Favourite Physio on (02) 9790 4233 or DM us @myfavouritephysio to book an appointment with one of our Expert Physiotherapists today! we love to help you overcome your Knee Pain and return to active living again!
