Have you been told that your Knee Pain is because osteoarthritis 🤔
Wondering what can you do to overcome your Osteoarthritic Knee Pain 🧐

Exercise 🚶‍♀️is very important in knee osteoarthritis as persistent pain often results in avoidance of physical activity resulting in lower levels of physical strength. This can then develop into a total avoidance of movement leading to disability.😳 Strengthening Exercises are a crucial component in treating knee osteoarthritis as it helps overcome pain, increase knee joint stability and increase function.

The key to strengthening exercises🦵 for knee pain and knee osteoarthritis is that minor pain is acceptable during exercise. To put a number such as 3/10 😊pain is acceptable, where 10 is the worse pain you’ve ever experienced and 0 is no pain at all. But this is only if the knee does not hurt more the next day after exercising. If there is more pain after exercising, reducing the intensity of the exercise is crucial.

However you have to remember that for those who are new to strength training exercises, a gradual increase and slow progression of load is required as sudden increase in weight 🏋️‍♀️ can cause high levels of DOMS (delayed muscle onset soreness) which is likely to reduce your compliance to exercise.
