24 Mar 21st March 2023 is 💛 World Down Syndrome Day! Today, people all around the world celebrate 🥳the lives and achievements of people with Down syndrome, creating a global voice, advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome. 💪 The theme for 2023 World Down Syndrome Day is With Us Not For Us, asking all supporter of WDSD to view people with Down Syndrome as having the right to be treated fairly and have the same opportunities as everyone else, working With others to improve their lives. Here at My Favourite Physio, our Expert Paediatric Physiotherapists🤓 are so privileged to have been able to share in the lives and journey of many little ones with Down Syndrome and their families. 🥰 We believe that children with Down Syndrome are capable of achieving their gross motor milestones equal to their typically developing peers and have successfully done so with many of our families.🚀🚀🚀 We also firmly believe that children with Down Syndrome will grow up with the capacity to be whoever they desire to be and to be very successful contributing members of society! 👩🍳👨🏫👩🎤What needs to change is society’s misconceptions and misunderstandings about Down Syndrome as a condition.
Join us and show your support by helping raise awareness about Down Syndrome today by wearing LOTS OF SOCKS! But not just any 🧦 socks, be creative and expressive! Wear brightly coloured socks, long socks, printed socks, layered socks even 3 socks for 3 chromosomes! 💛If you do not normally wear socks, wear them!
We love for you to post 📸photos of your socks below! Together we can make a difference!💪
