🥴 Have you seen videos on social media of Chiropractors cracking baby’s neck and spine to treat Cerebral Palsy 🤨 Been told that your child’s unequal arm and leg movements is a result of your ovary squashing baby’s head while they were in your womb during the pregnancy, so baby needs to be adjusted to correct their unequal arm and leg movements 😳

Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder caused by damage to the developing brain,🧠 often occurring before birth. It is a lifelong condition that affects muscle coordination and can result in various physical and developmental challenges. Currently, there is no cure for cerebral palsy, 🥺and its management typically involves a multidisciplinary approach, including Early Intervention Paediatric Physiotherapy, 🤓Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and in some cases, medications and surgical interventions. The goal of Early Intervention is to reduce the impairments as a result of the injury to the brain in Cerebral Palsy.💪

Chiropractic adjustments are not considered a cure for cerebral palsy, 🙅‍♀️and there is no scientific evidence to support the idea that chiropractic care can reverse or eliminate the neurological damage associated with this condition. In fact, there was been cases where chiropractic adjustments has lead to spinal cord injury and permanent paralysis in babies and children. 😳

Cerebral palsy is a complex disorder that requires comprehensive medical management by a team of experienced Expert Paediatricians, Paediatric Physiotherapists, Paediatric Occupational Therapists and Paediatric Speech Therapists. Chiropractors are not included in these Paediatric Specialists teams. 🙅‍♀️
