Inspire Your Children to Be the Change in their world!
Everyday around you, you will see things that may be wrong, unfair or even unjust. Some things are as small as a piece of rubbish thrown thoughtlessly on the ground, or someone being spoken to rudely to bigger issues like global warming and plastic waste in our oceans killing our sea life. Instead of turning a blind eye and ignoring it or telling yourself that there’s nothing you can do as the issue is bigger than you, take action to be the difference.
My Favourite Physio was birthed from an idea and desire to help the babies and children who lived in the Bankstown Local Government Area 16 years ago, when our Founder Neesha noticed that families who lived in Bankstown LGA could not easily access any specialised Paediatric Physiotherapy services locally. While working at Liverpool Hospital Paediatric Physiotherapy Department, Neesha learned that families from Bankstown LGA were unable to access Liverpool Paediatric Physiotherapy services because they lived outside the funding limit of the Liverpool Health Services, yet there wasn’t any alternative Paediatric Physiotherapy services available in the Bankstown Health Services. Families with children who had moderate to severe developmental delay were referred to the now defunct Department of Ageing, Disability and Homecare for any Paediatric assessment and intervention. This involves months of waiting for access to therapy and even then limited and minimal intervention. So inspired to be the change she wanted to see, Neesha started My Favourite Physio, a family centred Paediatric focused Physiotherapy Private Practice. The goal to to change the lives of families in the Bankstown LGA. Today, 16 years on, My Favourite Physio has certainly made a difference in the lives of many families in the Bankstown LGA, helping not only babies and children but also their parents and grandparents to achieve their best potential and health goals to live their best lives!
